RADISHES & THE DAIKON RADISH DRINK
Radishes are one of nature’s premium “whole health” foods, affecting the whole body.
They are a diuretic, cleanser and disinfectant all in one!
All radishes are good to eat. A simple and relatively inexpensive food –eat them whenever you can.
Ingredients provided by Mother Nature:
VITAMIN C: Radishes naturally contain a high amount of Vitamin C (1/2 cup = 8.6mg. =14% of the recommended daily intake).
FIBER: (1 gram of fiber = 4% of the recommended daily intake according to the CDC).
ISOTHIOCYNATES: a group of compounds which are shown to be effective against cancer by interrupting genetic pathways in the cancer cells, inducing cancer cell death.
THE DAIKON RADISH DRINK
Daikon radishes are long and white and are specifically used for the recipe below.
Purpose: Cleanse and support kidney function.
Dosage: 5 days on 5 days off for at least 4 rotations
1 cup of Daikon Radish Juice
1 cup Water
Squeeze juice from a grated radish or use a juicer/blender.
In a saucepan combine one cup of juice alone with one cup water
Bring to a boil
Shut off
Cool down and drink
Note: The reason for boiling is because the heat positively affects the chemistry of the daikon radish
